Description: Death of Thomas K. GAYLE.

Date: February 2 1860

Newspaper published in: Montgomery, AL.

We regret to learn that Thomas K. GAYLE, only son of our friend and neighbor Col. Geo. W. GAYLE, died at Kingston, Jamaica, on the 12th of January. He was born on the 16th of March, 1835.

Mr. GAYLE's health being bad, his father sent him on a voyage to sea last summer, with the hope that it would prove beneficial to him. He sailed on the ship Clara Preble, Capt. SNOW, last June, and when first heard from was a Cardiff in Wales, where the Clara was taking in a cargo of coal for Kingston, Jamaica. The next news we had from him was that he was dead, the Clara having reached Mobile a few days ago.
