John GRACE, who has gained considerable notoriety by previous acts of rowdyism, got perfectly desperate on Sunday morning, 24th June, at Princeton, Mariposa county, and shot three shots with a six-shooter at a man by the name of TUNGATE, who was sleeping in a bunk in the house. TUNGATE got up and started towards Mariposa for the purpose of having him arrested, when GRACE fired two shots at him with a double-barreled shot gun. He then left. Under-Sheriff HOWELL is after him.
