Bride Returns Home to Her Stepmother's Death Bed

Miss Carrie COTTLE of this city and Rev. Royal H. BALCOM were married Christmas day at the Shoshone Indian Reservation. They have both been connected with the mission for some time. The bride has a large number of friends in this city. Their coming to Thermopolis after the marriage proved a sad trip. It was only to reach the bedside of the bride's dying step-mother, Mrs. Henry COTTLE, whose funeral occurred Sunday morning. The deceased was 45 years of age, very much esteemed by all in this city, a tireless worker in the Red Cross, member of the Mothers' League, and will be greatly missed in the community. The remains were taken to Roslyn, Washington, for burial.
