Miss Gladys BRADLEY went to Kirksville to take a summer course of study atthe State Teachers College.
Miss Flo HUNTER, of Browning, has just finished her years' work, as
principal of the Hopkins High School.
Wayne COUCH is taking a Business Course at Moberly Commercial College.
The Linn County Farm Bureau Executive Board met and re-elected Ross NICHOLS
as County Agent at a salary of $2,300.
Raphael LESHLEY, a former resident of Linneus, died at his home in
Marceline.
Prof. Byron E. WESTERN, one of Linn county's fine young educators, has been
re-elected as superintendent of schools at Spickard for the fourth year at
an advanced salary.
The Sunday School class of Mrs. Fred MADDOX, composed of young girls, gave a
unique entertainment at the Baptist church in Linneus and cleared $20.00.
Linneus relatives and friends received beautifully engraved announcements of
the graduation of Misses Julia and Katherine STEPHENSON from Synodical
College, Fulton, Mo.
Col. Jas. B. FLEMMING sold his fine farm of 195 1/2 acres just southwest of
Linneus to Carl S. McKELLIN, of Wheeling, for $125.00 per acre.
Mr. and Mrs. John GRICE, of Linneus, have received a telegram stating their
daughter, Mrs. Eupha SHALLO, has passed away following an appendicitis
operation at her home in Waco, Texas.
