Mrs. Catherine Ryan, widow of Patrick Ryan, died Friday night at 7:30 at the
home of her daughter Mrs. Patrick FitzGibbons, 1139-1/2 Erie Avenue, aged 63
years. Death resulting from a severe stroke of apoplexy sustained earlier in
the day. About 1 p.m. Friday, Mrs. Ryan, after partaking of the noonday
meal, went to her room. Sometime afterward Mrs. FitzGibbons went to the room
and found her mother lying upon the bed, unconscious. She called a physician
who pronounced it a case of apoplexy. Mrs. Ryan died without regaining
consciousness. She is survived by two children, Martin Ryan of Chicago, and
Mrs. P.F. FitzGibbons of this city. Monday morning at 4:45 the remaims will
be taken to Chicago via the Panhandle, the funeral will be held at 9 a.m.
from St. Annes Church. Internment will take place in Mt. Olivet.
