A Well Known Donovan Farmer ExpiresFred Bard, a prominent young farmer residing near Donovan, died at the Lake Shore Hospital in Chicago Wednesday morning as the result of an operation for appendicitis. The remains were taken to St. Mary today for burial.
The deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bard, Sr. On the 26th of this month he would have reached the age of 25. Several years ago he was married to Ada Hofstion (sic), and she with two small children, besides the parents and brothers and sisters, remain to mourn his untimely death.
The death of Fred Bard has cast a gloom over the neighborhood in which he resided. His many excellent qualities were greatly appreciated by his friends and acquaintances. The TIMES-DEMOCRAT extends sympathy to the bereaved in their time of sorrow.
