NORFOLK, VA., Feb. 13.--Mrs. Martha A. Rountree, aged 72 years, one of the best known women in Norfolk, died at her home, in Freemason Street, this morning of paralysis, with which she was stricken last night. Mrs. Rountree was in good health up to the time of the stroke. The deceased leaves a husband, Mr. W. D. Rountree, a prominent cotton merchant and two children, Albert Rountree, of New York, and Miss Rosa Rountree, of Norfolk. Mrs. Rountree was born at Wilson, N. C., and was a resident of Norfolk for 25 years.
