Edward Hansford, a well-known negro barber in Montgomery, Ala., went home, when his mother reprimanded him. He replied angrily, left the house and in a few seconds a pistol shot was heard. The family rushed out and found him lying dead on the ground. The ball entered the head just back of the ear.
