Mr. Francis APPERSON, an old citizen of Lebanon, died Tuesday. He was born February 14, 1800, and at the time of his death was 87 years, 5 months and 5 days old. He was a native of Virginia, and in the early history of Illinois removed to that state, settling in what is now called Clay county. He removed to Missouri in 1879 and located in Lebanon, where he lived until his death. In 1880 he married Mrs. Mary CURRY, a most estimable lady of 60 years, who survives him. He leaves two sons, Mr. A. A. APPERSON of Lebanon, and one in Silver City, N. M., besides a host of friends. His death was no surprise, as he has been confined to his bed for nearly three months. He had been a most exemplary member of the M. E. Church for sixty years and the obsequies will be conducted by that church. He was also a member of Centre Lodge, A.F. and A. M., and that fraternity will assist in paying the last honors to a faithful brother.
