Following are the particulars of the fire in Monitor, Alpine County, Cal., on the 2d instant:
“A fire broke out in the Tarship Hotel at 5:30 P.M., spreading rapidly over the entire block on both sides of Main Street, from the corner of Monitor Street, east, including McBett’s, Stephens & Ogden’s Saloon, Union and Tarship Hotels, Lewis & Parson’s livery stables, Pony Restaurant, Reinstein’s and Gibbon’s store, L. F. Lewis’ dwelling, Mrs. Lang’s building and a China wash-house, were entirely destroyed. The Alpine Miner, telegraph office and Coffin’s Hall were saved as it were by a miracle. No insurance, except on Gibbon’s store.”
