PLATTSBURG, N. Y., March 22.—Meagre details have just reached here of a drowning accident at Rouse’s Point. Hon. Henry Mott, of Alburgh, Vt., accompanied by his wife, was crossing on the ice from Isle La Motte to Rouse’s Point when within 200 feet of Crook's dock, at Rouse’s Point, the ice gave way and the horses, sleigh and Mr. and Mrs. Mott were thrown into the water. Mrs. Mott was drowned and Mr. Mott was injured though not seriously. The horses were also drowned. Mrs. Mott’s body has been recovered.
