Memphis, Tenn., Oct. 1.—An announcement is made by Major M. Gilleas, third vice president and general superintendent of the Yazoo and Mississippi Valley railroad, of the appointment of W. S. King as assistant general superintendent of these lines with headquarters in Memphis. Mr. King was formerly superintendent of the Illinois Central railroad at Carbondale, Ills.
