ROCKEFELLER OBTAINS ANOTHER LICENSE
[By Associated Press]
Warwick, R. I., Sept. 27.—John D. Rockefeller, Jr., and Miss Abby G. Aldrich are well provided with marriage licenses. Today the young people, accompanied by Senator Nelson W. Aldrich went to Providence and procured another license. On Saturday, when they drove over to the town clerk’s office from Warwick Neck, they thought they were going to give the senator a surprise by getting the licenses issued to them here. They learned later that it was valueless because the senator claims residence in Providence, and for that reason the second document was procured.
The senator said. “The marriage will come soon.”
All three were merry and joked with the officials, the young people laughing at the senator because he went to the wrong officer for the license.
Miss Aldrich said: “Things have changed, pa, since you were married. You don’t seem to know Providence very well.”
