LIGHTS FOB SEVENTH STREET.
Installation of New System to Be Started in Few Days.
Installation of a new lighting system in Seventh street northwest will be started in a few days, it was announced yesterday by W. C. ALLEN, District electrical engineer. The new lights will extend from Pennsylvania avenue to New York avenue, and will be located about 70 feet apart. They are 100-candlepower, similar to those in Sixteenth street and around the White House.
Plans are being made by the department for a new system of lights in F and Q streets, between Seventh and Fifteenth streets. Merchants along these streets will contribute a share of the cost of the lights.
