SHOWER FOR BRIDE TO BE
Carbondale, Ill., May 21,Mrs. Dora GILBERT was hostess to the teachers of Brush school at her home on West Walnut street Tuesday evening at a shower complimentary to one of their number, Miss Alice NEFTZGER, who will be married in June to Joe VAN NATTA.
The home was prettily decorated with garden flowers. Early in the evening the guest of honor was presented a huge yellow and white wedding cake, filled with kitchen utensils. After a delightful evening spent in making quilt blocks, Mrs. Irene HODGE read an original poem and presented the bride-to-be a handsome table lamp.
There were about twenty present.
