In the district court today an action for divorce was filed by Gertrude E. Land against Henry L. Land on the charge of desertion and nonsupport. They were married in Lewiston in 1916. F.L. Moore is attorney for the plaintiff.***************
Mrs. G.C. Hallam returned today [April 3] from Sheridan, Wyoming, where she was called by the death of her father.

Miss Emma Nebelseick went to Genesee Sunday to see her new nephew, which was born Friday [April 2] to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schooler of Genesee.

The county auditor issued a marriage license today [April 5] to Frank E. Sprague and Ida M. Harris of Lewiston.

Born, a 7 1-2 pound daughter, on April 5, to Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Wilson, 701 Elm street.

Word has been received in Moscow of the death from diptheria, of Mrs. Mowry, daughter of Mrs. Henrietta Clark, who formerly lived in Moscow. Mrs. Clark is now ill at a hospital in California.

Born, April 6, a 10 pound son to Mr. and Mrs. Lester Robbinson of Lewiston, who formerly lived at Moscow.

This community was shocked Thursday afternoon to learn of the sudden death of Adair Pemberton. He had been slightly ill for the past three or four days but his condition was not thought to be serious until a very short time before his death. He has never been strong since an attack of infantile paralysis when he was a child. His last illness started with a cold and complications setting in caused his death. He was a young man of sterling character and in spite of his physical affliction was always cheerful and by his pleasing, straightforward disposition made friends wherever he was known. His death has cast a cloud of sadness over the entire community.

In the probate court of Latah county before Judge Adrian Nelson the will of Paul Smith who died at Troy in January was today admitted to probate. The property of the estate consists of a house and lots in Troy and personal property to the value of about $15,000. The widow, Anna Smith, was appointed executrix. The case was presented by Attorney G.C. Hoyt of Troy.
A petition for letters of administration was filed by Samuel Lewis, in the estate of his son, Leonard Lewis, who died in Minnesota. The estate in Latah county consists of real property valued at $5000.
A petition for letters of administration was filed by Mrs. Ingri K. Snartum for the estate of her husband, M.K. Snartum, who died in Minnesota. The estate in Latah county consists of real property valued at $600.

Harvard--Miss Arvilla May Parker and Nolan Martin Salisbury, both popular young people of this locality, were united in marriage at Colfax, Wash., March 30. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Parker, pioneer residents of Meadow Creek, and has spent her entire life in this community and has at all times taken an active part in the social life as well as in Grange work, of which organization she is a member, having served as Pomona in that order during the last two years and since January 1st has filled the lecturers office. The groom is one of our prominent young farmers and has resided here for a number of years. Their many friends join in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.

Harvard--Mrs. Richard Price, who passed away at her home at Republic, Wn., March 27, was well known here, having been a resident of the Hoodoo mining district for a number of years where Mr. Price was engaged in placer mining, during which time Mr. Price also served as representative in the Idaho legislature during the session of 1903. The family moved to Republic in 1905 and since that time have made that their home. Mrs. Price is survived by her husband and six children.
