HOSPITAL OFFICERS ELECTED.
Northern Dispensary Directors Choose W. R. Harr as President.
Officers for the ensuing year were elected last night at a called meeting of the board of directors of the Northern Dispensary and Emergency Hospital, incorporated, at the hospital, 3121 Fourteenth street northwest. The officers are William R. HARR, assistant attorney general, president; James LANSBURGH, vice president; Fred S. LINCOLN, secretary, and William H. SAUNDERS, treasurer. It was decided to elect members of the legislation, publicity, hospital, and visiting committees at the monthly meeting to be held April 25.
A quaint set of surgical instruments, in a handsome inlaid and brass bound case, used by Dr. Gabriel GRANT, field surgeon to the Second regiment, New Jersey volunteers, during the civil war, was presented to the hospital by Mrs. Gabriel GRANT, of New York, through Dr. James H. STONE, of Washington.
The directors present at last night's meeting were Commodore George H. BATES, William H. SAUNDERS, James LANSBURGH, Judge Charles S. BUNDY, Mrs. Elizabeth RAFTER, Dr. Dwight G. SMITH, William R. HARR, Mrs. Mary S. THOMPSON, Dr. Frank LEECH, Robert W. DUTTON, Mrs. Harry A. COLMAN, Dr. Louis J. BATTLE, Fred S. LINCOLN, Dr. Albert J. CARRICO, and John G. WILLIAMS.
