OBITUARY

Funeral services for Capt. Moses M. WHITNEY will be conducted at 3 o'clock this afternoon at The J. W. Lee chapel, 332 Pennsylvania avenue northwest. Capt. WHITNEY served throughout the civil war in the Seventy-sixth New York infantry,
which opened the first day's fighting at Gettysburg. He was born in Cortland, N.
Y. in 18?8, but came here after the war, and had been in business since. He was a member of Centennial Lodge, No. 11, Masons and of De Molay Commandery, No.
4, Knights Templar. Capt. WHITNEY is survived by three brothers, T. M. WHITNEY, of this city, and J. N. and D. B. WHITNEY, and a sister, Mrs. D. D. UFFORD, of New York. The body will be sent to Cortland, N. Y., for burial.
