A man named John Brannan was killed at Baltimore on Saturday night under the following circumstances: He was standing on the track as the Philadelphia train came in, and stepped off upon a switch which he thought the cars would not run on. Unfortunately for him, he placed himself upon the very switch the cars had to pass over, and in a moment he was knocked down, the cars passing over him, severing both legs from his body just above the knee, and he expired in about half an hour after the accident.
