Milan A. C. Will Play Washington Prep Five
The Washington Preps expect to encounter strong opposition tonight when they play the Milan tossers in the Congress Heights auditorium at ?:30 o'clock.
The Preps have improved steadily since their reorganization, and look better in each game. The acquisition of HERMANN, former Eastern High school player, has also helped the team materially.
Saturday the Preps will play the mount Vernon quint in the Congress Heights gymnasium.

BUSINESS-EASTERN AND TECH-CENTRAL IN FLOOR BATTLES
Third Position in High School Series Race Depends on Results.
By Shirley L. POVICH.
Although the Stenographers may put up a stiff fight against Eastern today, there is small
chance of them coming out on the long end of the score. Central, however, has a battle on its hands to dispose of Coach SOTZIN's Tech High basketers. The games will be played at the Coliseum this afternoon, the ???estmen?oned to begin at 3 o'clock.
Third place hangs in the balance of today's games. At present Central is holding that position with 2 wins and 4 defeats. Business is fourth, with ? wins and 3 losses and Tech trails with but 1 win in 6 starts. Central will strengthen its hold by a victory today, while a win for Tech will result in a deadlock with Business should the latter team lose.
Must Watch Jack Smith.
Business can not hope to outscore the champions and will not attempt to match offenses. Coach KELLY's game will be to play the defense for the ???? part of the contest. This style of play will give the Stenogs a chance to familiarize themselves with the style of the champions.
Jack SMITH and Ralph BENNIE are the two players whom Business must watch. These two are liable to break away for baskets at any time and the hard men to stop without fouling. Coach GUYON will take no chance by playing any reserves, but will keep the first team in action throughout the game.
BENNIE and HOOK, forwards; SMITH, center, and KESSLER and THOMPSON, guards, will no doubt start for Eastern. THOMPSON will fill the vacancy left by HARRMANN through graduation. His work in the Gonzaga game last week was impressive.
???????'s work for Business in its last three series games has been the bright spot in the play of the team. He will start at forward, with CLARK as his running mate. STOTT, whose ???? in the Central game was brilliant, will again play center and Capt. ???MAN and MUDD will hold down the guard berths.
Tech Lacks Spirit.
Central has not performed to the best of its ability in any series game thus far and, should the team show a reversal of form, it will be a certain winner over Tech. At the start of the season the manual Trainers had one of the hardest teams to beat, but in recent games the team has lacked the spirit displayed in the earlier contests.
Coach COGGINS will start his best two forwards DEAN and HALE. SCRUGGS will play center as usual and the guard positions will be filled by McNEIL and DEZANDORF.
Capt. ADAMS will start for Tech at center and TEW and BRIST will play at guard.
---
Gonzaga should be an easy winner over Alexandria High school this afternoon at Alexandria. Coach FAR?EY has the team going at top speed.
---
Coach HARBIN has been working his ????? Prep basketers out daily in preparation for the hard three-game schedule which the team faces this week. This afternoon, DEVITT plays Bradley Hall Military academy at the National Guard armory at 4 o'clock. Thursday the team plays Hyattsville High, a return game at the armory at ? o'clock, and Saturday it journeys to Charlotte Hall for a game with the cadets.
COLLINS and LEE, forwards; RIBNITZKI, center; and WALLACE and CUNNINGHAM, guards, will probably be picked to start today's game. THIELE and CARUSI will break into the line-up before the contest is over.
