Description: Rawhide Miner Killed

Date: January 5 1914

Newspaper published in: Reno

Bruce EVANS, a miner, aged 55 years was instantly killed in a mine in Rawhide, Thursday at 1:30. He picked into a missed hole and the blast was discharged.

NOTE : No newspapers were in Rawhide that I know of after 1911 so this, perhaps, is the only recording of the death of Bruce Evans.
On 10 Sep 2006 I found the headstone of Bruce Evans in the Rawhide cemetery, it is one of less than a handful of stones remaining in what looks to be a very large burial ground.
