Midlothian, Tex., April 21.--J. D. MAYFIELD died at this place yesterday after an illness of two days. Mr. MAYFIELD was a young man of sterling worth, genial, generous and extremely popular, and no death ever occurred here that caused more genuine regret and sorrow. His remains were interred here to-day at 11 o'clock. He leaves a wife and child, to whom is extended the tenderest sympathy.
