DOODY, At the Parrot mine near Luning, Feb 19, 1901, of heart disease, a native of New York, aged 48 years.
The remains were brought to Hawthorne on Tuesday's train, escorted by Phil MITCHELL, Captain FAGAN, M.T. PLAMANAZ, R.KELLY, James McGRATH, Dan FRAUZEN, and Mr. ANNEAR.
A handsome casket was broght from Carson and the funeral took place Wednesday afternoon , Mr. J.G. ATCHISON reading the service and the ladies of Hawthorne rendering appropriate music. All the available vehicles in town were in the procession and many of the friends of the deceased walked to the cemetery to pay their last sad respects to the departed. The pall bearers were: M.T. PLAMANAZ, J.H. MILLER, Philip MITCHELL, O.D. INGAILS, John FAGIN and Mr. ANNEAR.
John DOODY leaves a sister and two brothers in Orangeburg, NY to mourn his death.
