Reno merchants declared the power brownout was cutting deeply into business as they asked for electric power for signs.

Apr 5, Charles KENT, former state senator from Churchill County, died in a Reno hospital.

Apr 26, The Reno Chamber of Commerce power committee withdrew a request to the California public utilities commission to delay approval of a proposed contract between the Sierra Pacific Power Company and the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
The city council voted to abandon a 40' strip of land along the South bank of the Truckee River, West of Wingfield Park.
Apr 28, Clark County Commissioners voted to levy a tax of 1/10 of a mill on each kilowatt hour of electric energy produced in the county.
Apr 30, Reno school trustees agree to purchase the film "Human Growth" for presentation to the students and also the adult groups.
