Description: Accident Kills Babbit Child (Graphic Contents)

Date: December 6 1943

Robert Deward AVERY, two and a half year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Deward AVERY of Babbit was killed instantly 3 Dec 1943.
The child was playing in the back yard at the family home at 26th and Saratoga Streets. He ran into the back of a garbage truck and fell. Without knowledge of the incident, the driver ran over the small child, who was killed instantly according to Dr. J.J. COLBERT. He has been absolved of blame in the accident.
His father and older brother are both civil service workers. There are four other children in the family.
Funeral arrangements are being made.
