North Beach Life Saving Station, Md. Feb., 1893: CAPT. JOHN A. J. HUDSON, keeper of North Beach Life Saving Station, writes of a peculiar find made on the ice by his little sons one day last week when they were walking along the shore of Sinepuxent Bay. The found a number of large fish lying dead on the ice near shore and as they walked out onto the bays ice, perhaps a hundred yards or so, they found these fish in greater quantities. Captain Hudson said if it had been known sooner, four or five hundreds of dollars worth could have been gathered up, but when found, they were not in very good condition.
