Description: Services Held Here Saturday For Mrs. Grass

Funeral services were held in Hawthorne Saturday afternoon (8 Oct 1966) for Mrs. Ellen Woods GRASS, who died Friday (7 Oct 1966) at the Fallon hospital. Mrs. GRASS, who was 72, had been in failing health for some time.
Services were conducted at Hawthorne Funeral Home by D.L. MORTENSEN, Bishop of the Hawthorne ward of the LDS Church. Alvin F. HUGHES, foemer Bishop spoke and the LDS choir sang hymns. Burial was in the Hawthorne Cemetery.
Mrs. GRASS was born 17 Jan 1894 in Strickler, Arkansas and spent her early life in that state. On 1 Jan 1913 she was united in marriage to Wyatt WOODS and to this union was born one daughter and two sons.
They are Mrs. Loretta SYMPSON of Babbitt, and Elmer and Jack WOODS, both of Alaska. Other survivors include 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; six sisters, Mary CROWLEY, Gertrude VANHOOK, Ruby DEVAULT, all of Tulsa Oklahoma, Ruth HOPKINS of Owasso, OK, Dessie WATERSON of West Fork Arkansas and Jewell TAYLOR of Henderson, Nevada; two brothers, Floyd LEE of Tulsa. OK and Tom LEE of Fortuna, OK.
