Description: Child of John ANDREWS Lost in Snow Overnight.

Fairfield, January 31. An uncommon providence fell out here the 18th currant. A child of 4 years and 5 months old, the Sun about two hours high, wandered away into the woods, being the son of John ANDREWS, who after searching the wells, and suspected places over night, and in the night (which was extreme cold) was next morning about ten a clock found 4 miles up in the woods,kneeling upon his knees and elbows, and his forehead upon the snow. He was alive, and only his feet froze. 'Tis hop'd he will be saved without being a cripple. 'Tis thought he travelled all night.Submitted: 12/02/07
