Juanita Ruble, 90, died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at her residence in Pittsfield.
She was born July 12, 1917 in Florence to Emmer and Mary Splain Daniels. Juanita and Paul Irvin Ruble were married Oct. 23, 1935 in Pittsfield by the Rev. Homer Brown. Paul preceded her in death March 20, 1979. Juanita was raised around Toll Gate and attended school there. She has lived alone since the passing of Paul. She joined the Methodist Church in Florence many years ago. She loved the Lord and spent her time reading the Bible. She will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by three sons Harold (Vella) Ruble, Pittsfield, Delbert (Karen) Ruble, Nebo; Jack (Dianna) Ruble, Baylis; one daughter, Greta (Donald) Shipley, Waverly; one daughter-in-law Joyce Ruble (Eugene deceased) Jacksonville; two sisters, Genevieve Seyl, Pittsfield, and Mildred Meskimen, Arlington; one brother Robert (Rosa) Daniels, Pittsfield; and one sister-in-law, Pearl Ruble, Pittsfield; 28 grandchildren. Her grandchildren living in Pittsfield, Monte (Lisa) Ruble, Paul Wayne (Patty) Ruble, and Laura Ruble (Todd) Dunham, Penny Jean Ruble; Quincy, Jacksonville, Leta Kay Ruble and Susan Shipley (John) Green; Baylis Dianna Ruble (Harrison) Housmann, Toni West (John) Daniels, David (Yvonne) Pressey; Waverly Steven (Linda) Shipley; Eolia, Mo. Larry (Pascha) Allen; Pleasant Hill Junior (friend Dena) Ruble; Ken Ruble in Texas; James (Amber) Pressey, White Hall; Griggsville; Doug (Kathy) Ruble, and Tom (Melody) Ruble; Camp Point Melissa Parton; Angela West (Ryan) Dixon, Barry ; Dena Shipley (Tom) Smith, Franklin .; Gregory (Mary Jo deceased) Shipley, Bradford ; Hannibal, Mo. Jack (fiancé Meagan Belstein) Ruble; Missouri Lacey Ruble and Robin Cobb; Lincoln Teresa Shipley (Kevin) Riggins; Nebo Rob Ruble, Breann Ruble and Nicole Ruble; Tennessee Randy (Brenda) Ruble; Canton Brian Ruble; 64 great grandchildren; 12 great -great grandchildren ; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded her in death by husband Paul, March 20, 1979, parents Emmer and Mary Daniels; father and mother-in-law, Harry and Grace Watkins Ruble; one brother Theodore Daniels; one son, Ronald Eugene Ruble March 14, 2005 (wife Joyce survives in Jacksonville); one granddaughter Sara Mae Ruble Oct. 4, 1965; one granddaughter in law, Mary Jo Shipley Nov. 23, 2006 Bradford (husband Gregory survives); one great granddaughter, Stephanie Wilkins, Hannibal, Mo.; five brothers in law, Neil, Doss, Leland Ruble, Harold Meskimen, Raymond Seyl; one sister-in-law, Nina Ruble Coultas.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, at 2:30 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, officiating Rev. A. D. Selby of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Jacksonville. Singing her favorite hymns "Old Rugged Cross", "Amazing Grace" and "In The Garden" by Adam Ruble. Interment at Blue River Cemetery near Detroit . Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 6-8 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield . Memorials are to the Blue River Cemetery or donor's choice.
