Fallon, 3 May - Mr. and Mrs. F.M. FERREL have received word from the war department that their son Ralph Eugene FERREL was killed in action on 27 Dec 1944, in the South Pacific. He had been overseas since November 1943, and was thought ot be in the Philippines. They had previously received word that he was missing.
Born 27 Jul 1926 in Lakeport, CA he came to Nevada when a small child. The family first resided in Hawthorne before moving to Fallon several years ago. He attended the high school here.
He was one of ten children. Two brothers are also in the service; Lester James FERREL and Joseph Stephen FERREL; three brothers, Roger, Arthur and Chester are at home and sisters Mrs. Homer STEVENS, Patricia, Alta and Jean FEREL.
