Church Creek, Md., April 21, 1910:

Rev. William Wallace Green, of Church Creek, the veteran preacher of the Eastern Shore, will celebrate his eighty-eighth birthday Thursday. 'Father' Green, as he is known all over the state, still conducts services at Old Trinity Church, Church Creek. He numbers his friends on the Eastern Shor by the hundreds and is the oldest minister in point of service in Maryland.
