Double Funeral Tuesday for Graymont Man, WifeA double funeral for a Graymont man and his wife, who died within three hours of each other Sunday will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday at Harris Funeral Hoome, Pontiac.
Tone W. Jacobs, 73, died at 12:20 p.m. Sunday at St James Hospital. He had been ill a month.
Mr Jacob's wife, Miriam,76, died at 3:15 p.m. at Odell Shelter, Odell. She had been in failing health two years.
The Rev Gaylord Buss will officiate and burial will be in Rooks Creek Cemetery.
Mr Jacobs was born Dec. 16, 1897, in Rooks Creek Township, a son of J. Herman and Augusta Barbara Woltzen Jacobs. Mrs Jacobs was born June 3, 1894, in Nebraska Township, a daughter of William and Iona McCown Emm.
They were married Oct. 14, 1920 in Ottawa.
He is survived by a brother, Clarence, of rural Pontiac. Mrs Jacobs is survived by a sister, Miss Wilda Emm, of Odell. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
He farmed in Rooks Creek Township his entire life.
