Died at Good Hope, McDonough county, on March 17th, 1882, Thomas Edmonson, aged 44 years. He was buried in the Good Hope Cemetery and later moved to Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb. Born near Ellisville, Fulton county, Illinois in 1838, he had many sisters and brothers. His parents removed from East Tennessee to Illinois in 1830. He and three of his brothers, Charles, Ruben and William, were all in the 78th Illinois in the Civil War. In 1867 he married Kate Morris, daughter of Henry Morris of Good Hope. They had 3 children, 2 sons aged 14 years and 10 years, and a daughter aged 12 years. He is survived by his aged parents.
